Molly & Corey’s Elegant Montana Wedding at a Ranch in Montana

Some weddings just embody everything that makes Montana so special—wide open spaces, endless skies, and the kind of community that gathers from near and far. Molly & Corey’s wedding at a ranch in Montana was one of those.

Their celebration was both elegant and minimalistic. Every detail felt intentional yet effortless, letting the beauty of Montana’s landscape shine. Surrounded by loved ones, Molly & Corey created a day that felt both timeless and deeply personal.

A Ranch Wedding in Montana

Montana has a way of capturing hearts, and this ranch wedding highlighted exactly why. From the moment guests arrived, there was an undeniable sense of warmth and togetherness. Friends and family traveled from across the country, coming together to celebrate in true Montana style — where hospitality, laughter, and wide-open skies set the tone.

The ranch itself was the perfect backdrop: rustic yet refined, full of Montana character without needing much dressing up. The minimalistic design choices only amplified the natural beauty all around.

Film + Digital Wedding Photography

For Molly & Corey’s wedding, I photographed on both film and digital. There’s something about mixing the two mediums that feels right for Montana weddings — film brings in that raw, timeless character, while digital captures the crisp details and fleeting moments. Together, they tell a fuller story, and this wedding was no exception.

The day was filled with candid laughter, meaningful glances, and quiet moments — all of which translated beautifully across both formats.

Sunset Portraits in the Montana Hills

One of my favorite memories from the day was sneaking away with Molly & Corey just before sunset. We jumped into a side-by-side and headed out into the distant rolling hills, giving them a pocket of time to be together “alone-ish” while still having a blast.

The golden light, the Montana horizon, and their relaxed, playful energy all came together perfectly. We created some of my favorite photos of the day out there — the kind that feel natural, fun, and a little adventurous. It was the perfect reminder of why I love photographing Montana weddings: there’s always space to escape into nature and create something magical.

A Celebration Rooted in Connection

What stood out most about Molly & Corey’s wedding was the feeling of connection. Elegant in design yet relaxed in atmosphere, it was the kind of day where you could feel the couple’s personalities in every detail. Guests weren’t just attending a wedding — they were part of an experience that reflected Molly & Corey’s love, surrounded by the Montana landscape that made it all the more unforgettable.
